All our large pieces are finished through process of dry and wet sanding, oiling and polishing using hard wax oils from Whittle Waxes, as well as Osmo. Our jewellery is finished through a similar process before attaching sterling silver necklace chains or shepherd hooks.
Our homewares are finished using a food grade and eco-friendly blend of natural waxes and mineral oils.
All epoxy boards are intended as serving boards. Cutting on them can create scratches and permanently damage the finish. We also make solid timber cutting boards and can custom make butchers blocks if you are looking for a cutting surface.
Yes. Epoxy resin is food safe when it is set and sealed properly. We DO NOT recommended cutting on any of our epoxy products. When cut with a sharp object small chips or flakes of epoxy can be produced and should NOT be consumed. Cutting on any of our resin products will permanently damage the finish.
We offer a delivery and installation service of our large pieces for most NSW regions. Interstate items will be wrapped and freighted with a trusted courier. Visit our Shipping Policy for more information.
We can finish custom order tables using hard wax oil with UV protection. We do not recommend having any tables, benchtops or wall art in direct sunlight, as drastic temperature changes can result in timber and resin movement and colour fading. We highly recommend getting a cover for any UV protected products for added protection when not in use.
All of our art pieces will require routine maintenance to keep them vibrant. It is good practice to wipe down tables and boards after use. Using a damp cloth with warm soapy water to remove any food or grease marks. Wipe dry with a clean microfibre to remove any watermarks. Due to the nature of your jewellery and various components used to create it we have provided separate cleaning instructions for each element below.
Timber and Resin
Handling of the timber and resin part of your piece is unavoidable and therefore you may leave a fingerprint or smudge behind after use. Start by gently wiping with a clean and dry microfibre cloth. This will remove the majority of superficial marks you may notice.
If you believe a more in depth clean may be required. Gently rub over with a damp cloth and soapy water.
Wipe down with a clean microfibre and hang me up to air dry.
Always store out of direct sunlight. Overexposure to UV and drastic temperature changes can causes timber movement and splitting, as well as colour fading and resin fog.
Do NOT swim, shower or bath whilst wearing jewellery pieces. Timber is a porous material, accordingly prolonged periods exposed to water will result in permanent damage.
Do NOT use cleaning chemicals.
Do NOT soak
Do NOT us any abrasive pads or scourers.
Sterling Silver
We exclusively use .925 sterling silver to alleviate issues that may arise from allergies or reactions.
Although the timber and resin may be the hero of our jewellery, it is important care for the sterling silver that keeps them connected to you too! One of the best ways to prevent sterling silver jewellery from tarnishing is by wearing it. Your skin's natural oils can actually help to keep the jewellery clean and maintain its brilliance.
If you notice your sterling silver starting to tarnish it may be time to do a quick polish.
POLISHING
Polishing is a great way to spruce up sterling silver fashion jewellery that hasn't tarnished too much. It's also a helpful way to clean oxidized silver, too. We recommend using a special silver cloth to polish the accessories. If you don't have one, use a microfiber or non-abrasive cloth.
Never use tissues or paper towels to clean the items, as they could potentially scratch the silver.
The best polishing method is to use back and forth motions that mirror the silver's grain.
You might think rubbing in circles is the best method, but this will only highlight any scratches.
Has polishing not worked? Not to worry, here's how to clean sterling silver at home..
CLEANING
We have two recommended cleaning methods involving the same process but creating different cleaning solutions. Please use cleaning solution 1 before moving onto solution 2.
METHOD: Mix chosen cleaning solution in a ceramic bowl. Dip a small microfibre into solution before wringing it out, apply to silver making sure not to miss any areas. Rinse under lukewarm water before drying with a clean clean cloth. Be careful to hold resin and timber away from water whilst rinsing.
SOLUTION 1 : Soap and Water.
Soap and warm water is a classic cleaning method, and it can breathe new life into your sterling silver. Combine warm water with a mild ammonia, such as phosphate-free dishwashing soap. Try this before you move onto the following.
SOLUTION 2: Lemon Juice and Olive Oil
Lemon juice is known for its cleaning properties. If you want to know how to clean sterling silver, lemon juice and olive oil could be the best option for your item.
All you need to do is mix 1/4 cup of lemon juice with only half a teaspoon of olive oil in a large bowl and repeat the cleaning method from above.
PLEASE NOTE!
There are certain substances and chemicals that can cause sterling silver to corrode.
DO NOT EXPOSE JEWELLERY TO THE FOLLOWING ITEMS.
Please avoid wearing jewellery when performing household chores. It's also important when going out to put jewelry on last, so it doesn't come into contact with beauty products or perfume.
